I have some works on paper in a group show this month at The In Arts Collective 17th and Olive in Capitol Hill, curated by the illustrious and prolific DIY scene queen Adair Tudor, who is also showing several of her never-before-seen photographs. The show opens tonight from 5-8 pm during the Capitol Hill Artwalk, followed by MOVE in the downstairs theater. Stop by and say hi!
Also opening tonight is an exhibition of Joey Veltkamp‘s drawings at Cupcake Royale. Titled The Blanket Show, the images in the show explore blankets as “expressions of comfort, childhood fears, ghosts, and transitory states.” You can read more about this show here, and you might also want to check out Amanda Manitach’s recent essay about Joey for ArtDish if you haven’t yet. See you tonight!
