Last Saturday night, my Midday Veil bandmate David Golightly and I—(we’re billing our duo appearances as Hair and Space Museum )gave an all night performance at Seattle University’s Hedreen Gallery as part of the Face Time series of artist sleepovers curated by Jessica Powers and Whitney Ford-Terry.  Inspired in part by Terry Riley’s legendary All-Night Flights of the late 1960s, our site-specific piece A Double Rainbow in Curved Air consisted of a continuous 12-hour minimalist improvisation paired with a non-repeating stream of kaleidoscopic video projections derived from the Double Rainbow YouTube meme. (Full project description here.)

For those of you who missed the performance, or would like to occasion flashbacks, here are a couple excerpts of some of the evening’s zonier drones.
