Interesting New Sight and Sound Blog: Mood Organ

Seattle omnimusician (and Midday Veil cohort) Timm Mason is the latest in a long line of local creative types to jump on the blogging bandwagon.  Titled Mood Organ (after his Debacle/Aphonia Recordings solo project that has been garnering some excellent press lately), Timm’s month-old blog is already home to a heady mix of video-heavy investigations of all sorts of (mostly) musical tangents.  I recommend checking in the next time you find yourself lamenting the fact that you ran out of awesome stuff to watch on YouTube.  You will be rewarded with a treasure trove of synaesthetic oddities, like this mind-blowing collaboration between pioneering composer Raymond Scott and Jim Henson on the Tonight Show (an oldie but goodie that always merits another look):

Timm has also taken to posting excellent playlists on Twitter (you can follow him here).  Here’s to hoping he keeps up the good work!
