Tonight in Art

There are several art events going on tonight in Seattle. At 6:30 sharp in West Seattle’s Camp Long, Mandy Greer’s fiber installation Mater Matrix Mother and Medium culminates in a long-awaited performance by dancer Zoe Scofield. More about this project here and here.

At James Harris, there is an opening for exhibitions of photographs by Steve Davis, socially symbolic landscapes by David Huffman, and ceramic sculpture by the incomparable Jeffry Mitchell.

In addition, SAM Rental and Sales Gallery has an opening tonight for their Summer Introductions show, featuring work by  Gala Bent, Mary Margaret Briggs, Andrée B. Carter, Garek J. Druss, Grant Hottle, Jason Larsen, Andrea Schwartz-Feit and Liz Tran.
