Opening Tonight

There’s an opening reception from 5 to 8 tonight at the Columbia City Gallery for 5280: Ten Exceptional Artists Living Within One Mile of the Gallery, an exhibition curated by Jim McDonald in celebration of the gallery’s first ten years.  Featured artists include previous blog subjects Mandy Greer and Etsuko Ichikawa, as well as Mark Callen, Norman Courtney, David George, Sherry Markovitz, Peter Millett, Barbara Earl ThomasRuth Marie Tomlinson and Julie Alexander, whose meditative organic grids (also recently featured in a drawing show at Catherine Person Gallery) provide a visual record of directional explorations that simultaneously “assert and deny narrative.”

  1. Thank you Emily! This show has me humming Mr. Rogers, “who are the people in your neighborhood…”
