Larry Sommers Memorial Art Show

Last month, I wrote briefly about Larry Sommers, the printmaking technician at the University of Washington who died of a heart attack over Spring Break.  This weekend there are two special events celebrating Larry’s life and art.

Tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. there is a Larry Sommers Memorial Art Show and Fundraiser for friends and members of Seattle Print Arts, who plan to establish a scholarship in his honor. The evening will feature an exhibition (and fundraising sale) of Larry’s artwork.  Tomorrow from 11 to 4 the show will be open to the public, for one day only.

Both events will take place at 310 S Washington (the old Davidson Contemporary space) in the Tashiro Kaplan building.
