Mood Organ, Amy Denio Live at Gallery 1412

I’m looking forward to the fifth live performance this evening of Mood Organ, the experimental solo project of multi-instrumentalist, composer, improviser and Midday Veil bassist Timm Mason.  Part of a series exploring the five classical elements, all I know for sure is that tonight’s performance represents “Air,” will involve a harmonium, a grand piano and six e-bows, and will never happen again. The event begins at 8 p.m. sharp at Gallery 1412 and will be immediately followed by a performance by Seattle composer Amy Denio.  Both musicians are presented as part of  Aphonia Recordings Showcase, the live performance outlet of Aphonia Recordings, a local web-based label devoted to experimental music.
