Psychedelia in Seattle

This Saturday night is the opening of Call and Response, the third annual Centennial exhibition at Crawl Space Gallery. Curated by Jeffry Mitchell, the show promises to be a celebration of “hippie magic” and spiritual syncretism.

The reception is from 6 to 9, with a curator talk at 7:30 p.m. More information may be found on Crawl Space’s lovely new website, designed by Shaun Kardinal.

After that, if you find yourself in need of more hippie magic, I believe it would be well worth your time to come on over to the Josephine in Ballard for a soul-melting psych show featuring a phantasmagoric liquid light display by Portable Shrines and headlined by my band Midday Veil.  See you there!
