Adiós Ariana

Seattle is losing another promising young artist:  Ariana Page Russell, a photographer best known for images of scratches and swells in her sensitive skin, is moving to Brooklyn at the end of the month.  Which is like, this weekend.

Ariana is represented by Platform Gallery in Seattle and Magnan Projects in New York.  Her second solo exhibition at Magnan Projects opens April 9.  For posterity’s sake, here’s “Skin Art,” a segment about Ariana that aired last spring on ABC’s 20/20.

Adiós, A.  You will be missed.

  1. Thanks Emily! I’ll miss you too. But at least I know you’re going to be visiting me soon…
Oh, and the opening at Magnan is April 2nd or 3rd, not the 9th.
    TSFL!

  2. Aw! You’re welcome. And thanks for the heads up. I just got that off the exhibition dates on their website but it doesn’t list anything about the opening. I’ll post an update when we know for sure!
