Introducing Portable Shrines

While I’m on the subject of movers and shakers in the Seattle psych scene,  there is a happening tonight worth mentioning:

Portable Shrines - Eternal Tapestry Poster

Portable Shrines is a notable new music blog, as well as a collective entity that just began booking and promoting local shows.  Tonight is their first of many events.  The show is scheduled for 9 p.m. at the Rendezvous Jewel Box Theater and the cover is $6.  Expect ecstatic bluesy improv from Portland’s Eternal Tapestry, homegrown psych rock from Seattle’s Idle Times and Tiny Light, and a full fledged 60s light show.

And speaking of the Rendezvous, have I mentioned Midday Veil‘s show next Tuesday night?

We’ll be playing with the folk-rock duo Geist and Samuel Joseph, as well as Forrest Friends.

  1. Man, with you around, maybe I don’t have to leave my couch afterall, Emily! Just kiddin’, I know I do…eventually;), but seriously, your descriptive skills are a force to be reckoned with. Thanks!
