There are plenty of beautiful things I can’t wait to see tonight including:
Ariana Page Russell: Dressing. Gallery4Culture. 101 Prefontaine Pl S, Seattle. 6-8 p.m.
Also,
Small Works by 25 Artists. Some Space Gallery. 625 1st Ave, Seattle. 6-9 p.m.
Participating Artists:
Michael Azzano, Caryn Badgett, Greg Bell, Morgen Bell, D.W. Burnam, Dawn Cerny, Chris Crites, Benjamin Hanawalt, Robert Hardgrave, Paul Holt, Mattie Iverson, Devon Kerr, Sara Lanzillotta, Kevin C. McCarthy, Yoshi Nakagawa, Aubrey Nehring, Noah Overby, Jamie Potter, Lorie Ransom, Alexandra Roxo, Nate Stottrup, Kim Van Someren, Shannon Welles, Brad Winchester & Ellen Ziegler
Addendum: I just rode past SOIL on the bus and the Bin Labs installation looks pretty incredible from the street. Too bad there’s not a nice, big picture on their website for me to steal and post!
Last night was so lively everywhere, despite the foul weather, and of all the things I saw I was most surprised by Russell’s Dressing exhibit. Her images are genuinely disconcerting and memorable, and I’m curious to go back before the exhibit leaves to see if I respond so strongly a second time!
