Droning Earth Vol. 30 + Upcoming Shows
Midday Veil‘s track “Invocation” has been included on the latest in a series of international compilations put out by Finnish experimental music enthusiasts Droning Earth. The compilation is available for free download here.
“Invocation” is an excerpt from Subterranean Ritual, currently available on a limited edition CD through Translinguistic Other Recordings. Also included on Droning Earth Vol. 30 is a track by Seattle’s A Story of Rats, who will be appearing at the Portable Shrines gig next week week at Chop Suey with Magik Markers, Sic Alps and AFCGT. (A Story of Rats is the solo project of Garek Druss, also a visual artist whose show at Some Space I reviewed earlier this year.)
This show’s gonna be killer, but don’t forget to save some energy for the Solstice show at the Comet Tavern on Sunday, December 20, a.k.a. MY BIRTHDAY!!! This show will feature performances by Midday Veil, Scriptures (formerly This is a Process of a Still Life), Frothing Robot (Milky Burgess of Spoils and Master Musicians of Bukkake) and Airport.
